Our Hawks enjoyed several SOAR activities yesterday afternoon- Scholastic Bowl practiced, Speech Team practiced for State Competition, First Robotics worked on their robot, Junior and Senior PINK club members practiced for Powderpuff, Trivia, ITS members rehearsed, Tri-M members made posters, DIY with Mrs. Poarch made their own sugar scrub, and a few students from the Construction Tech class completed some odd jobs around the school!

⛈️ Due to inclement weather, all after-school and evening activities for today, March 5, 2025, are canceled. Please note, this includes YMCA child care and Boys and Girls Club.

Meet our newest rescues! These five angelfish were in desperate need of some TLC, and we were so happy to step in and help. Our Aquarium Club’s student volunteers spent hours cleaning and shutting down the tanks of a community member in need. The angelfish were safely relocated and are now swimming happily in an educational setting, in Room 229 at HHS. Seeing live organisms thriving in a biology classroom makes all the hard work worth it. We're so proud to be part of a community that cares!

🛡 Keeping our schools safe takes teamwork, innovation, and connections. Hear from educators Lesley Sarver at Hickory High, Matt Barker at Deep Creek Central Elementary, Brittany Meier at Greenbrier Middle, and School Resource Officer Dave Ellyson at Great Bridge Middle, as they share valuable insights and practical tips on creating a safe, secure, supportive school environment. 🔗 Listen to the full episode at https://www.cpschools.com/page/amplified or wherever you get your podcasts!🎧 #EngageCPS
