Congratulations to the Journalism 1 students for winning the CPS Instructional Innovations Grant! Under the direction of Mrs. Emery and Mrs. Daley, students will create Hawk Nation - a student-run online information resource connecting the entire school with relevant past, present, and future community information. Hawk Nation will provide a space for students to develop real-world skills, express their creativity, and make a lasting impact on our school. Hawk Nation will be up and running early next year.

Sra. Whatley’s Spanish classes learned about a very interesting holiday tradition from Cataluña Spain, called Tió Nadal. Families decorate and “feed”a log for days leading up to Christmas in hopes the log will leave them gifts and treats rather than sardines!
On Friday, Advanced PE students got to have class at the Bowling Alley, and the high scorer of the day was their teacher, Mrs. Williams!
