Happy New Year and welcome back to school! We can't wait to see all of our Tiny Tigers on Tuesday morning. Don't forget your ID badges!

Portlock Primary would love to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of our community partners who assisted many of our Tiny Tiger families with coats, meals, pajamas, groceries, and gifts for both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Local churches, organizations, businesses, and even other schools all contributed to helping our families. This year, we had a special anonymous donor who provided for 20 of our Portlock families. For all of this, we are truly grateful!

Today is pajama day and our last day of school before Winter Break! We dismiss today at 12:04.

All of our classes participated in a Holiday Sing-a-long thanks to our music teacher, Ms. Nitopi. Students colored ornaments, sang carols, and best of all...raced to decorate their teachers like a snowman!

Tuesday is Grinch Day. Students are invited to wear anything Grinch or Whoville related. Or just simply wear green! 💚

Today is Holiday Headwear and Sock Day!

Join us next week for a Holiday Spirit Week

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP (formerly known as “Food Stamps”) provides eligible households with food benefits.
Students in households that receive SNAP are also eligible for meals at no cost at school. Students who have access to SNAP are more likely to be in good health and miss less school. Many households may not be aware they qualify. To learn more and to apply, visit https://www.dss.virginia.gov/benefit/snap.cgi

On Friday, Portlock Primary transformed into a Winter Wonderland! Throughout the school day, students and teachers were able to celebrate the upcoming holiday season by decorating the halls, participating in holiday themed activities, and dressing in their favorite holiday attire!
