This week, Mrs. Weaver spent time talking with our students about an extra-special member of our school family: Gracey the service dog! 🐶✨
Students learned all about the crucial job Gracey does every day and how we can all support her while she’s on duty. Mrs. Weaver shared a few important guidelines for everyone to keep in mind:
She’s hard at work: When Gracey is wearing her vest, she’s focusing on her job.
Hands off while working: To help Gracey concentrate, students learned why it’s important not to pet, call, or distract her.
Calm & respectful environment: Keeping quiet voices and giving Gracey space allows her to do her job safely and effectively.
Our students did a fantastic job listening, asking great questions, and showing so much respect. We are so excited to have Gracey as part of our school family!👋❤️

Yesterday, we officially said goodbye to the 2025-2026 school year, and what a bittersweet day it was! We sent our amazing 2nd graders off in style with our traditional clap-out. 👏❤️ There were smiles, high-fives, and maybe a few happy tears as they walked down the halls one last time.
To our 2nd graders: We are so incredibly proud of how much you've grown. We are going to miss you like crazy, but we know you are going to do amazing things as you head off to Truitt next year!
