This week we were honored to have Dr. Quillin, a Chesapeake School Board member, visit WBP.
She toured our building, visited classrooms, sang happy birthday to a lucky Bruin, and learned through play with our preschool CPI class! We appreciate your leadership and support Dr. Quillin.

The Bruins in this 1st grade classroom were very engaged in their Morning Meeting today. They used team-building and STEAM principles to build a structure using only tape and cardstock. The catch was that the finished product had to be as tall as a paper towel roll! Great job working together to solve problems, Bruins!

The WBP Bruins were welcomed back yesterday. Our day began with a tasty breakfast buffet! Then we celebrated our successes, discussed new goals, and received MTSS & phonics training to improve student learning through explicit instruction.

Attention families of rising kindergartners and students new to the City of Chesapeake: If you haven’t completed enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year yet, please submit your registration by August 3, 2026.

Registering by this deadline guarantees bus transportation for your child on the first day of school! Enrollments completed after August 3, 2026, will still receive a bus assignment as soon as possible, but enrolling early helps us plan for a smooth start to the school year! 🚌
