We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to our PTA!!! They have helped support our knowledge and understanding of tracking weather data. This week, we received two new weather PTA-sponsored monitoring stations. These tools will help us as we learn to identify weather instruments (thermometer, wind vane, rain gauge) and graph weather data. Thank you PTA!

Last Thursday, we gathered for our district retirement ceremony to celebrate the “Noteworthy Impact” our 2026 retirees have made across Chesapeake Public Schools. 💙✨

We have had an opportunity this week to observe our youngest Baby Bruins grow in a duckling habitat in Ms. Mutter's 2nd-grade class! Pip, Stella, Phoebe, and Gilbert hatched last week and have grown so much! Today, they demonstrated their swimming skills. So fun!

1st Grade Baby Bruins entered a transformed cafeteria today to engage in the Bruin Economics School Store! Students purchased various goods as consumers at pop-up shops from their teachers, who acted as producers. Great job applying new learning in a meaningful way!

Happy Earth Day! All Bruins learned about the purpose of Earth Day on our morning news today. They also learned ways to celebrate, like making a craft from recycled materials or going on a nature walk.
