On Saturday, the Office of Family and Community Engagement and Grassfield High School hosted Operation Military Families!
The event allowed for our district's military families to explore resources offered to them as well as fun activities for students and parents alike! Throughout the day, families were able to get complimentary family portraits taken by Lifetouch, enjoy bounce houses and games, eat a pizza lunch and connect with resources offered to military families in our area!
Thank you to Grassfield High School and FACE for putting on an awesome event for our families connected to the armed forces. ❤️💙🎖️

🎉 Yesterday, Southwestern Elementary held their Bruins in Action: STEAM & Career Day! 🚀👩🔬👷♂️
Students rotated through stations filled with hands-on STEAM activities and got to explore future career paths by learning directly from community professionals. Great job SWE! And thank you to everyone who made this inspiring day possible! 💡💼

CPI is a FREE full-day program for children who will be four years old by September 30th and live in Chesapeake. The program is designed to give eligible children opportunities to create a firm educational foundation that can be used to achieve academic and social success.

💼 On Thursday, April 10, twenty-four young women from Deep Creek Middle School’s computer science courses and FBLA attended the Junior Achievement Girls for the Win event at the Virginia Beach Advanced Technology Center.
Throughout the day, middle school girls from across Hampton Roads connected with successful women leaders in fields like architecture, finance, renewable energy, and more. 🌍
