🌕🌖🌗🌘 4th grade scientists had a sweet time learning about the moon phases last week! Using Oreos (yes, Oreos 🍪), they carefully twisted, scraped, and sculpted each cookie to show the different phases of the moon. Learning is always better with snacks — and now they’ll never look at dessert the same way again! 🌙✨
Our preschoolers have caught the reading bug! 🐛📚 From turning pages to giggling at silly stories, these tiny bookworms are on a reading adventure full of fun, laughter, and imagination! 🌟✨

Students worked together to connect key ideas about matter — from physical and chemical changes to atoms and molecules — making meaningful connections and explaining their thinking along the way.

🌌✨ Our 4th graders from B.M. Williams had an out-of-this-world experience this week visiting the Planetarium at Old Dominion University! They explored the wonders of space, learned about the stars and planets, and discovered just how big our universe really is. 🚀🪐

✈️🚢 Our 5th graders had an incredible experience today visiting Oceana Naval Air Station! They got a firsthand look at naval aviation, learned about the hard work and dedication of our service members, participated in some hands on coding activities and even saw some amazing aircraft up close.

Our 5th graders put their scientist hats on today! 🧪✨ They used Pop Rocks and Sprite to investigate whether gas is matter. The excitement bubbled over (literally!) as they observed the release of carbon dioxide and proved that gas takes up space. Such an awesome hands-on way to see science in action! 🌟🔬🍬🥤
