The Hour of Code is a global initiative to support Computer Science Education Week and introduce millions of students to one hour of computer science and computer programming. All students (PreK-12) can participate!

⚕ SMA freshman visited the Health Science programs at @tccvabeach last Tuesday. Students explored career fields of EMT, Pathology, Ultrasound, Radiology, Occupational therapy and Physical therapy assistant. The programs engaged, delighted and grossed out some students.
Are you interested in being the next Miss Deep Creek High School? The 2023-2024 Miss Deep Creek High School pageant will be hosted on February 16 at 7pm in the auditorium. ALL interested candidates are encouraged to apply. We need representatives from ALL grade levels. The application can be found on the DCH Clubs and Activities Canvas course. Deep Creek UNICEF gives a big thank you to our guest speakers at the Child's Rights Workshop. The members learned about the importance of rights for children and how they can continue to advocate for them. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in this event!

Physics is Fun!👍Mr. Barnhart lies on a bed of nails while Mr. Underwood breaks a cinder block with a sledgehammer without discomfort to demo the property of inertia at rest. The inertia of all this mass helps absorb the blow of the sledgehammer.

Congratulations to Deep Creek's AFJROTC National Academic Team which beat out over 350 high school teams to advance to Level II of the JROTC Academic Bowl. Team members include: Brady Knox, Krystian Egan, Dane Cunningham, Jasmine Casas Flores, Zoey Ndamukong, and Dameon Love.
