Our Chesapeake Virtual Academy (CVA) is proud to offer fully online courses to students enrolled in Chesapeake Public Schools. Serving students in grades K-12, CVA offers a wide range of core and elective classes, including Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses, and provides special education services for students with disabilities, gifted enrichment opportunities, and services for English language learners.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2024-2025 school year. Students remain connected to their home schools and may participate in all sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities. Miss Stafford's 1st graders enjoyed a guest reader in their class today! Mrs. Kelley, Miss Stafford's grandma, read Sneezy the Snowman. The students enjoyed answering questions about the story and hearing about the snowy weather Mrs. Kelley usually gets back home in Ohio!

Ms. Jaramillo class did an experiment by making the balloon move without touching it. They learned first hand about potential and kinetic energy.

After learning about sound waves and vibrations in science, Miss Stafford's first graders created their very own musical instruments! They even got to demonstrate how the instruments work and discuss the different types of sound they make. So much fun!
