✨ Still smiling over yesterday’s 100th Day fun! 💯🪶

From hands-on discovery in our Kindergarten classrooms to some very "experienced" 100-year-old ladies keeping us safe on the bus ramp at dismissal—yesterday was one for the books! 👵🚌

Our staff and students went all out today to celebrate the 100th day of the year! From creative hats to custom tees, the energy at Georgetown Primary is 10/10 (times 10!). 🎩✨

💙👓 We saw "Heart Words" in a whole new light today! Love was in the air at Georgetown Primary! Our first-grade Braves brought some extra sparkle to their literacy practice today. Wearing their festive rose-tinted heart glasses, these two scholars worked with our Reading Specialist, Mrs. Chrisman, to master their "Heart Words"—those tricky words we have to learn by heart because they don't always follow the rules! 📖✨❤️

It was wonderful to see our students so engaged and excited about growing their reading skills. What a sweet way to celebrate the season of friendship and learning! 🍭📝

🎙️ This Black History Month, we’re proud to share stories rooted right here in Chesapeake. On our latest podcast episode, Dr. Ella Ward, educator, former School Board member, and current Chesapeake City Council Member, reflects on a lifetime of service and the lasting legacy of the historic Cornland School. 💙🚀 Our 2nd graders were hard at work in the STEAM Lab before our recent snow break! ❄️ Students turned into engineers to design and build transportation shelters, ensuring their animals could move safely from a damaged habitat to a new home. 🧱🐾 It’s incredible to see such young minds tackling real-world challenges with creativity and critical thinking!

💙🪶 At Georgetown Primary, our counselors help us soar! Mr. Yeck and Mrs. Harrison are essential pieces of our school family, teaching our Braves how to navigate their emotions and build lasting friendships. Whether it’s a classroom lesson or a one-on-one chat, they embody RISE by showing our students what it means to lead with heart. We are so lucky to have them in our corner! 🌟🤝 #NSCW26

Starting the week with a sweet look back! 💙🪶

We are still smiling about how we ended last week in Ms. Roselle’s room. Our Braves were hard at work mastering financial literacy with partner task cards—counting coins and making change is a skill we can bank on! 🧠💰

But we also made time for some serious fun. 🎶 For Flashback Friday, the class rated older songs and sang their hearts out. The top pick? A very passionate performance of Viva La Vida by Coldplay! 🎤🎻
