We kicked off our PBIS Relaunch with a massive celebration, and our school family definitely knows how to RISE to the occasion! ✨ From "professional" air guitar solos 🎸 to mastering the flamingo pose 🦩, the spin-the-wheel challenges kept us all laughing and cheering. And if you know, you know... six seveeeeen! 🤫👋

A HUGE shoutout to our brave staff members who went above and beyond (and maybe got a little warm 🥵) to make this day special. Thank you to Ms. Bohne, Ms. Sawyer, and Ms. May for joining the admin team, and to Mrs. Chrisman for suiting up in those "not-so-cool" inflatables! 🦖💨 And to our teachers shaking those pom poms—thank you for bringing the spirit! 🎉🙌

Our Braves showed up and showed out today! Students who were at school participated in our grade-level AttenDANCE to celebrate being present and ready to learn. What a fun way to kick off 2026! 💃🕺

Warm hearts and winter fun! ❄️💙 Mrs. Johnson’s class had the best time celebrating their hard work before the holiday break with some special winter activities. Whether they were crafting or playing, the joy in the room was the perfect way to wrap up 2025. We hope all our GTP families have a wonderful, restful break! We can’t wait to see our students’ smiling faces back in the halls on Monday, January 5! 📚✨

Collaboration is key at Georgetown Primary! 🤝 Ms. Roselle and Ms. K’s 2nd-grade classes joined forces today for a morning of literacy and tech-based learning. After a wonderful visit from a Mystery Reader, students used Kahoot to show off their 2nd-grade skills. 📊✨ Empowering our students to achieve their highest potential through teamwork! 📚💻

💙🧣 It was a "Frozen" kind of day at Georgetown Primary! 🥶 This morning was so cold that our very own Mrs. Gurkin found her friend Olaf to help welcome our students to school! Nothing beats seeing a smiling face—especially one as cheerful as Olaf's—to warm you up as you walk in the door. Thanks to Mrs. Gurkin for creating a safe and supportive learning environment with a little extra magic! ✨

💙📊 Ms. Banas's class turned into expert Data Detectives for their festive Holiday Data Scavenger Hunt! 🔍

They sharpened their skills by collecting real-world data and then brought it to life! Students created tally charts, bar graphs, and colorful pictographs to analyze their findings. What a fun, engaging way to master critical math and analysis skills! ✨

💙💡 The excitement is overflowing in the STEAM Lab this week!

Our First Graders put their engineering caps on, diligently building and testing their innovative boats for the Recycle Regatta. 🚢♻️ They're learning all about design, buoyancy, and reusing materials! At the next station, our Third Graders transformed into expert scientists, investigating the fascinating effect of water temperature on dissolving solutions. 🌡️⚗️

What an inspiring week of hands-on science, technology, engineering, and real-world problem-solving! ✨

💙💻 Happy Computer Science Education Week! Our Second Graders are officially future coders! 🚀

This week in the library, Ms. Baynor is bringing coding to life! She made sure our students were prepared by teaching them foundational programming skills last week using Code.org.

With that knowledge under their belts, our second-grade stars met Dash the coding bot and did an absolutely amazing job giving him commands and watching their code come to life. ✨ Watching them problem-solve and celebrate their successful programs was incredible!

What an exciting way to celebrate innovation and collaboration!

💙⚗️ Cooking Up Some Science!

Mrs. Logsdon's 3rd graders were hands-on investigators in the STEAM Lab last week, exploring the colorful and fun world of mixtures! They experimented with combining different ingredients and observing the changes, learning all about how things come together. 🧠✨

We even got a fantastic, spontaneous assist! Tiffany Nichols from the Science Department was in the building and jumped right in when she saw the science fun happening! We love this kind of team spirit and dedication to supporting our students' learning. Thank you, Tiffany! 🤝

💙🤖 PUSH. PULL. LEARN!

Our amazing Kindergarten scientists were in the STEAM Lab this week, investigating the concepts of force and motion using the super cool Lego Spike Kits! They built Lego Taxis and watched what happens when you give an object a soft or strong push.

A huge shout-out to Tiffany Nichols from the Science Department for visiting our lab and ensuring everything ran smoothly! We love this true team effort in bringing hands-on learning to our youngest innovators. Thank you for helping our students build and explore! ✨🤝
