Ms. Downs' and Ms. Joyner’s class had Community-Based Instruction last week at Chesapeake Pizza. The restaurant was INCREDIBLE! They showed our students ALL areas of the restaurant and ALL the different jobs. They let our students perform some of the jobs. All of our students got to make their own pizza if they wanted to. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity our students got today! The biggest shout-outs go to Gabby, AJ, and Michael who showed us everything and were kind and patient.
Hickory's Advanced PE got to head to the gym multiple times throughout the semester to utilize a wide range of equipment. Life Planning also had the opportunity to do a workout as part of the wellness component. A special thanks to Universal Fitness for opening your doors to our students!
🎉 Hickory Hawks gymnastics finished number 1 is the district meet this past weekend. They struggled through injuries, worked out new routines, and cheered on their teammates with all the Teal Pride!! Let’s go Hawks!

A guest speaker from Full Sail University led a super fun and interactive lesson for Marketing students this week! They enjoyed being in the sportscaster role and hearing about opportunities in Sports and Entertainment education and beyond!

Last week, the International Thespian Society represented Hickory High School well at the Virginia Thespian Society Festival!
Our students competed in the Chapter Select One Act Festival and auditioned for colleges and scholarships! We are super proud of our Theatre Hawks
Physicals are being offered at Hickory High School! You must have cash and physical form pages 1, 2, and 4 filled out, including parent signatures. We are accepting all athletes for appointment times and will create groups by gender at check-in. Please arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled appointment.
