🎶🎉 Music in the Parks Festival Champions! 🎉🎶 Last Saturday, our incredible music department rocked the stage at the Music in the Parks Festival - and the results were nothing short of AMAZING! 🏆 All three of our performing groups gave it their all in the morning competition and then had a blast enjoying the park while awaiting results. The verdict? 🥁 FIRST PLACE for every single group in their category! But that’s not all… 🎺🎻 The band and orchestra earned the highest overall scores in their divisions, taking home the Top Overall Awards! 🙌🔥 We are beyond proud of our talented musicians, their hard work, and their outstanding representation of our school! 🎶👏 #MusicInTheParks #BuschGardens #HawkProud

🌟 GLOWIN' & KNOWIN' with the Surf Hawks! 🌟 Our amazing Surf Hawks lit up the room (and their brains!) at their epic Glow Party SOL Review! 💡💥 Students rotated through glowing stations, tackled review questions, collaborated with their classmates, and mastered key concepts — all under the black lights and neon vibes! It was learning with a twist — full of energy, teamwork, and serious glow-getter attitudes! 😎✨ Way to shine, SurfHawks! 🦉🔬 SCIENCE SPOTLIGHT! 🔍🦴 Our 7th grade students just completed an Owl Pellet Experiment — and it was a hoot! Students rolled up their sleeves and dove into the fascinating world of ecosystems and energy transfer by dissecting real owl pellets. Inside, they discovered bones and remains of organisms consumed by owls, connecting hands-on investigation with lessons on food chains, food webs, and how energy flows through ecosystems. From rodent skulls to tiny rib bones, every discovery helped bring science to life! 🌿💀 Way to go, 7th graders — you're mastering science one pellet at a time! 🧠✨
