She will attend Virginia Tech to Major in Engineering with Biomedical Intent. ------------------------------------ If you could give a shout out to a member of the faculty or staff at a Chesapeake Public School, who would it be and what would you say? Mrs. Stiltner — Her welcoming nature, kindness, and intelligence has pushed me to want to be like her! She was my first teacher at WBHS and has made an everlasting impact in my life.. ------------------------------------ What's something you're looking forward to that might surprise people? I’m looking forward to being less focused on my academic standing—in the most positive way. 🎓 Senior Spotlight 🎓 💙🐻💛 TREMAYIA DOTSON is the Senior Class President at Western Branch High School. She will attend Carnegie Mellon University. ------------------------------------ What did you accomplish in high school that you are most proud of? I’m most proud of how I balanced it all and still managed to grow as an individual. Being class president, performing on stage, keeping up with schoolwork, still showing up for people around me, AND being a person who is very much type B wasn’t easy. There were plenty of late nights and MANY close calls, but I did it. I kept going, and I never lost myself in the process. ------------------------------------ What's something you're looking forward to that might surprise people? Leaving Virginia. A lot of my family and friends have lived here their whole lives and have never really experienced life outside of its borders. I’m excited to step out of that, start a new life somewhere else, and really learn more about myself, the world, what I like, and who I want to be. It’s scary, but it’s also freeing and I’m ready for it. #Classof2025! 🎓 #CPSCelebrates

Attention, Bruins! Yearbooks will be distributed for seniors on Wednesday, June 11, during all lunches from the school store, the Bruin Exchange. Underclassmen can pick up their yearbooks during lunches starting on Thursday, June 12. There is also a limited supply of books still for sale ($110); you can purchase at the Bruin Exchange in cash or with card!

☀️💲The Virginia SUN bucks program assists families with the cost of groceries during summer break when school is not in session. Seniors, this is your chance to visit the past and celebrate the future at the same time! Check the WBHS website or the Senior Canvas page to sign up for the Cap & Gown Honor Walk to your old elementary school (Chittum, Southwestern, or WBI). 🎓 After you complete the online form, pick up a field trip permission form in Room B-9. Signed permission forms must be turned in by June 1. See Mrs. Muncie if you have any questions.

Class of 2025: Caps and Gowns will be distributed during lunches on Thursday, May 22! Honors Regalia will also be sold during this time (cash only for $17 stole and $10 tassel). Also, don't forget that there will be a senior meeting on Thursday during first block to discuss the procedure for requesting extra graduation tickets. NO tickets will be issued if you have outstanding financial obligations (senior dues, parking tickets, chromebooks & accessories, etc.).

Class of 2025! 🎓 Just a quick heads up for all our soon-to-be graduates. If you have any outstanding invoices, it's time to clear them up. We wouldn't want anything to stand in the way of your big day, right? Remember, graduation tickets for your guests will only be issued once all invoices are paid in full. So, let's get those cleared up as soon as possible. We can't wait to celebrate your amazing achievements with your loved ones cheering you on! 🎉 Let's make this graduation a memorable one! 💙
