Today, 6th grade Bruins opened their First-Day Letters — the ones they wrote to themselves on the very first day of school.
📬💙 They read their words from months ago, reflected on how much they’ve grown, and wrote back as their future, newly graduated selves. 🎓💭
Most had totally forgotten they even wrote one, but their reactions were priceless. 🥹

🌊 Our 8th graders took flight and made waves on an unforgettable trip to North Carolina! They explored the Wright Brothers Memorial, discovered the science of flight, learned about ocean life and renewable energy at Jennette’s Pier, and even tried their hand at fishing! 🎣
This cross-curricular adventure was a smashing success! 💙

Tonight was “nothin’ but a good time!” as the Western Branch Middle School Choirs presented “HITS ON HAWKSLEY: ROCK REVOLUTION!” To top it all off, the Western Branch Middle School Concert Choir has been named the 2025 Middle School Conference Performance Choir for the Virginia Music Educators Association! Only ONE middle school choir is selected to represent the state of Virginia at the annual conference in November!
