In January, our school partnered with the Norfolk Tides. All students were invited to participate by documenting 200 minutes of independent reading. Twenty-four students earned tickets to attend FREE Norfolk Tides games. Congratulations goes out to all participants! Great job students, and thank you to the Norfolk Tides for promoting Literacy.

Thank you to the Chesapeake Police Department Drone Team for visiting our Crime Solvers Club! 🚓🚁 Students loved seeing the technology in action and learning how drones support safety and investigations. An awesome hands-on experience with some seriously cool tech! 💙🐻

Severe weather had learning looking a little different this week ⛈️📚 From a French lesson on crêpe making 🇫🇷🥞 to guest teachers and so much more, our Bruins stayed engaged and learning safely from home. Way to ROAR the Bruins Way! 💙🐻

Shout out to Ms. Duncan for this powerful bulletin board honoring the brave individuals who participated in sit-ins as a peaceful protest during the Civil Rights Movement. ✊🏾📚 This display highlights courage, resilience, and the fight for equality—an important reminder during Black History Month and beyond. Thank you for bringing history to life for our students.
