Mrs. Hoy's class recently designed marble mazes with many twists, turns and traps. They are amazing engineers!
Some of our second grade classes got to see (and taste) a rainbow with a fun STEM activity using warm water and Skittles. They discussed how the warm water dissolves the colorful candy coating and the colors mix to create new colors.

Mr. Fanny's Second Grade Art Students are celebrating "Music in Our School Month"- They created caricatures of students "singing" their favorite tunes.

Literacy Month kicked off with a visit from the Norfolk Tides mascot, Riptide! Our Baby Bruins are working on their Tides Reading Challenge this month.

A group of students used Makey Makey, which was purchased with a CPSEF grant, to learn about communication through the ages yesterday. They made telegraphs built out of foil and clothespins along with the makey makey components to practice sending messages in Morse code.
