Students will come home today with their Impact Aid Survey card. The Federal Impact Aid Program provides funding directly to school divisions to compensate for lost real estate revenues due to an increased amount of federal property in their districts. Impact Aid funds support all of our students and programs across the district. We ask all families to sign and return their completed cards tomorrow. Experience the Difference with DECA DECA leaders from all seven high schools met yesterday for their Fall Leadership Conference at Grassfield High School. The DECA organization prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the world. Our city leaders attended workshops on networking, leadership, community service, fundraising, and more. Special thanks to CPS DECA President Alison Cruz Martinez and VA DECA Region 4 Vice President, Caroline Arbogast from Hanover High School for meeting with our students and leading several sessions. #InspireCPS

We are proud to offer three high school academy programs for students. Eighth grade students are eligible to apply to one or more of these programs. The online application will open on December 1, 2023. Completed academy applications are due by December 15, 2023. Academy Information Nights will be held across the district in order to allow students and parents to learn more about the academy programs.
