Today, 11th graders from across the district explored their future at the first-ever Beyond the Diploma event!

Students connected directly with local businesses, colleges, military recruiters, and trade specialists to discover career and education paths. From attending presentations to practicing skills in mock interviews with real employers, our students gained invaluable feedback and professional connections.

A huge thank you to the Career and Technical Education department for organizing this event, and to our community partners for helping bridge the gap between high school and what comes next!

Yesterday, Chesapeake Career Center students delivered two custom-designed benches and a sign to the Chesapeake Humane Society. 🐶😺

This project was a true collaborative effort: the Welding students spent the school year designing and constructing the frames, while the Collision Repair students provided the professional-grade finish. The result is a beautiful showcase of creativity, skill, and teamwork.

Thank you to Collins Machine Works and the Chesapeake Educational Foundation for the generous funding that made this vision a reality. We are honored to partner with organizations that support our students and our local furry friends!

Amazing job, CCC Welding and Collision Repair! 🛠️

It’s National Student Leadership Week, and while we have incredible student leaders across our entire district, our Bruins recently had an opportunity to lead by example! 🌟

Last week, Western Branch Middle National Junior Honor Society students headed over to Western Branch Primary to share their love for reading. They read stories, answered questions, and proved that leadership and literacy go hand-in-hand. 🐻

We’re so proud of how our students are building community, one book at a time. 📚
