Today we celebrate Anna Louise James, a true pioneer in pharmaceutical history! 👩🏾⚕️
✨ The History: In 1908, Anna became the first African American woman to graduate from the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy. She didn't stop there, she went on to become the first female Black pharmacist in her state, running the "James Pharmacy" for decades.
🏥 The Impact: At a time when healthcare was difficult to access for many, Anna provided essential care and expertise to her community. She paved the way for women of color to enter the world of medicine and pharmacology.
🧪 CTE Spotlight: Pharmacy Tech From life-saving medications to community wellness, Pharmacy Techs are the heartbeat of healthcare. Anna’s legacy reminds us that precision and care change lives!

Today, for Black History Month, we honor Alvia Scott, Hattie Carpenter, and Flossie Burtos—the trailblazers of the shipyard!
🚢 The History: In 1943, these three women were photographed welding steel onto the SS George Washington Carver. At the Kaiser Shipyards in Richmond, CA, they became symbols of the thousands of Black women who mastered the trade to support the WWII war effort.
🛠️ The Impact: They proved that technical skill knows no gender or race. Their precision and hard work paved the way for future generations in industrial trades.
🔥 CTE Spotlight: Welding From shipbuilding to aerospace, welding is the backbone of modern infrastructure. These women showed us how to "spark" a movement!
