The Hornets wrestling team competed in the Class 5A Regional tournament this weekend. The following wrestlers place top 4 and are on their way to compete at the State Tournament February 20-21:
Senior Issac Michalski 138lb 2nd Place
Sophomore Kaleb Kumm 144lb 2nd Place
Senior Brady Ming 165lb 3rd place.
Also making the all region team by placing top 6:
Junior Sion Williams 126lb 6th Place
Freshman Christopher Bon 215lb 6th Place.

Kenzie Kumm and Alexa Colon-Ayala earned All Region Honors. Kenzie placed 4th at 114 pounds and Alexa Placed 5th at 120 pounds. Kenzie qualified for the state tournament and Alexa is an alternate for the State tournament. Both girls will travel to Richmond next Tuesday and Wednesday to compete for a state championship.

For diving, Sydney Holbach (Regional Dive Champion) and Anabelle Willet (5th in region).
For swimming individual events, Avery Pulk qualified for the 500 freestyle, Ari Morrozoff qualified in 100 backstroke placing 5th in the region, Ian Garth qualified in the 50 freestyle placing 2nd in the region, and Troy Salpeter qualified in the 200 IM placing 2nd in the region and the 100 breaststroke finishing 4th in the region.
The following relays have also qualified for states:
Boys 200 Medley Relay consisting of Ari Morrozoff, Troy Salpeter, Ian Garth, and Bryan Syvertsen placed 3rd in the region
