Mrs. Tynes and Mrs. Brenenstuhl’s class wrote break up letters to Great Britain while learning about the American Revolution. They also used a quill pen to sign the letter!

Students are exploring the Phases of the Moon with Ozobots this week. They also are discussing limitations and benefits of their models.





Yesterday, our staff explored Number and Number Sense Best Practices with Dr. Cooney and Dr. Morris-Hayes.









Mrs. Koontz, Ms. Greto, Mrs. Simmons, and Mrs. Franklin's classes went to the Learning Barge today. It was a perfect day for investigating the Elizabeth River.

Last week ended Hispanic Heritage Month, so Mrs. Tynes and Ms. Brenenstuhl's class celebrated with a fiesta. They used nacho chips to show real world application of division word problems.




The Scholastic Book Fair is coming October 21-29th. It will be open during school hours and students can shop during their scheduled library day or other open shopping periods. You can shop online, too!

Homecoming Spirit Week ended with a Braves Spirit Wear Day! Come and cheer on @indian_river_braves_football for their Homecoming Game 7pm at James Frye Stadium against Nansemond River!


It's Game Day and Ms. Williams' Class came in their Braves gear. We are ready to cheer on Indian River High School! later Go Braves!
