
Congratulations to both the Boys and Girls Varsity Swim Teams on their win over Indian River this past weekend. Boys team won 114-36 and the Girls won 96-33. Come out and support both teams Thursday at 6:15pm against Oscar Smith.

Congrats to Cadet Dameon Love! After excelling on a worldwide AFJROTC physical fitness & aviation test, he was selected as 1 of only 2 second yr cadets to receive a scholarship worth $20K to attend pilot training at an Aviation University this summer.

⚛ Earth Systems students tossed and removed pennies to demonstrate half-life of radioactive isotope. Half-life is the length of time it takes for half of the radioactive atoms to decay. It use to determine the age of geologic material🪨




🌎 World History 1 students engaged in a STEM modeling challenge to build St Peter's Basilica to replicate the challenges faced by architects by using basic building materials. The students had a great time!🏗

In addition, 20 of our teachers, representing all 7 high schools, were named Gold Star Teachers ⭐ for earning a 93% pass rate in at least one of their classes in either the Fall 2022 or Spring 2023 W!SE Financial Literacy Certification Test administration.



Earth Systems students dig up some dirt while sharpening their observations in searching for evidence of fossilized marine organisms.




Students investigate a genetic disorder called hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) by analysis gel electrophoresis experiment. Electrophoresis is a laboratory technique used to separate DNA, RNA or protein molecules based on their size and electrical charge.





Congratulations to the Deep Creek Wrestling TEAM for an outstanding weekend, matside! The Varsity team was 3-0 this weekend, with wins over Norview, Tabb and Woodside. Wyatt Matthews, Amir Wray-Hill, Caden Stevenson and Sam Diggs all went 3-0. The Girls Team went to Louisa County, and Riley Maynard placed 3rd in an All Girls Tournament.
