Yesterday was nothing short of phenomenal as our Forensics Team showcased their exceptional talents and left us all in awe. 👏 A heartfelt congratulations to each member for their hard work, determination, and the countless hours invested in preparing for this moment. 🌟 This year's team consisted of 6th grader Allison Roulaine, 7th grader Alicia Comaniciu, and 8th graders Rebecca Lee and Baylee Yager. 🥉Rebecca placed 3rd in prose and 🥇Alicia Comaniciu won first place in original oratory.
The team's commitment to excellence truly shined through, and we are immensely proud of their achievements. Their coaches Cindi Halloway and Shanda Cigich are so proud of what the team accomplished this year.🏆

Our Chesapeake Virtual Academy (CVA) is proud to offer fully online courses to students enrolled in Chesapeake Public Schools. Serving students in grades K-12, CVA offers a wide range of core and elective classes, including Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses, and provides special education services for students with disabilities, gifted enrichment opportunities, and services for English language learners.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2024-2025 school year. Students remain connected to their home schools and may participate in all sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities. Check out the awesome learning journey happening in Mrs. Quidley's 8th-grade English class! 📖🚀On Thursday, students took a creative twist to study indefinite pronoun agreement, and played English Jenga! 🤯🧊
Each Jenga block had a sentence with an indefinite pronoun, and the challenge was to correctly identify and agree on the pronoun. 🤓💬 It's amazing to see how much enthusiasm and engagement this brought to the lesson! 🌈👏
The room was buzzing with laughter and friendly competition as students skillfully pulled blocks, discussed grammar rules, and reinforced their understanding in a super fun way! 🤩🎲
