On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, we will send a TEST message to the contact information we have on file for staff and parents via text, email, phone call, and mobile app. This will allow individuals to ensure they are receiving district and school communications through the correct platforms. This week, Hawkeye students took a deep dive into the world of Cells and Cell Division with some hands-on, engaging activities!
🧠 Organelles Speed Dating: Students took on the roles of different organelles and got to know each other through fun "speed dates." From mitochondria to the nucleus, everyone learned how each organelle plays a critical role in the cell!
🔬 Microscope Mastery: We explored various organisms under the microscope to see the amazing structures inside living things. There's a whole hidden world waiting to be discovered!
🎨 Chalk It Up: Students got creative and drew out the phases of cell division right on their lab tables with chalk. Who knew learning mitosis could look so cool?
It's always exciting to see our future scientists bring biology to life! 🌱✨
